COMMUNICATE EFFORTLESSLY

The native communication protocol is based on the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model published by ISO while working over P25 or any other media. The protocol is capable of handling both small (single-frame) and large (multiple frames) quantities of data. A “mini-session” feature enables to “fire” short messages up to 160 bytes on a single frame (can be increased to 2K bytes) when dealing with short messages such as commands, measurements and discrete statuses.

On the other hand, at the same time, it can be used to transfer large quantities of information, such as downloading applications, database tables, and processes at the same time using the “Session” feature. The protocol works over all media supported such as Main board RS232/RS485 Half/Full Duplex with/without CD, Plug In (Optional) Isolated 2xRS232 or P25 radio. Motorola ACE1000 is ready to support future WAN, WIFI and CAN bus protocols and media to extend the communication capabilities furthermore.

SEAMLESS CONFIGURATION

No application programming software is needed to program ACE1000 but web browser accessing the “Easy Programming Tool”. No programming skill or training is required too. Functionality of the “Easy Programming Tool” applications can be expanded easily using C application over Linux, IEC61131-3 or Motorola STS to allow seamless integration into existing MOSCAD, MOSCAD-L, MOSCAD-M and ACE3600 based systems. MOSCAD-M C application can be upgraded easily for use on ACE1000 RTUs.

Due to use of native protocol, RTU can be programmed, configured and maintained locally and remotely over any media or communication network. Motorola ACE1000 Front End Processor (FEP) as a system configuration tool enables to configure the entire system, collecting automatically RTUs data at run-time and provide it to the SCADA through MODBUS open protocol. Automatic SCADA TAG generation enable easy deploy of any SCADA SW database.
